Craig McPherson was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1948 and later earned his B.F.A. from the University of Kansas. Before exhibiting his own work, McPherson worked with several other art institutions including the Kansas Cultural Arts Commission Mobile Gallery, the Detroit Art Institute. His first solo exhibition was in 1978 at Gallery G in Wichita. Some of his works include Yankee Stadium at Night (1983), and Twilight: The Waterways and Bridges of Manhattan (1985-86). McPherson has been exhibited at The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, The La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, and the National Museum of American Art in Washington, among others. Craig McPhersons work is also represented in major corporate and private collections.
